It's finally out, so set up matches/talk about the game/share your salt here. I personally don't have the game but should have it sometime this week perhaps (weekend at the latest).

I have the biggest salt cause Europe still has no date for the game and no confirmation it will even come out here.
Try to outsalt that.

I am maining Sol currently and I am doing his trials. I also tried some net play and it was solid.

If anyone is interested in a game with nice pace, not to crazy combos and great mechanics that just sync together well, this is your game. I **** love it!

I wanted to use May, as she was my favourite character in the old guilty gear games, but now she doesn't seem as fun... her command grab is way harder to do for me (it used to be a half-circle-back + kick but now it's half-circle-back forward + kick) as i've never been good at the new command they chose for it. It's a command that you almost never see in street fighter games. I keep getting her forward + kick overhead whenever i want to do the command grab...


Also, i'm no good at her combos... by force of habit from playing street fighter, i always cancel into the dolphin move as soon as i get the charge for it which doesn't seem to work very well... it seems like it only combos properly if i cancel a few normals in a row and THEN cancel into the dolphin which feels really weird and hard...

I still wanna stick with her though because i like the fact that she has spammable charge moves and a command grab as well as some projectiles. it's a weird combination but it feels fun when i'm doing good with her.

I always have Slayer and Sol as a backup... Their command grabs are so much easier to pull off that i have a lot of fun using them too. One thing i wonder about is, what's Slayer's best anti-air? He has an uppercut-style Overdrive thingy but none of his special moves seem good at hitting people that are jumping at him... I've just been doing the dandy step, hoping i dodge their jump-in successfully.

Overall i like the game and i can totally see it becoming the most popular PS4 fighting game until SFV or MKX come out. Maybe even afterwards, for the hardcore Anime-Fighting-Game fans.

Or any of his dashes, Dandy Step would count if it wasn't easy to react to. I hope Slayer can still transfer the invincibility of his dashes to a jump in hopes he can stay out of trouble.

Just do a quick 360 for Overhead Kiss. I used to do that with I-no for her old Chemical Love input as well as Potemkin's P-Buster. Doing it the "proper way" sometimes gets you the 6K or the K beach ball.

I don't like that they changed it either, as ticking into it is a bit slower. They could've just mapped it to DP+K like Sol and Zato's command grabs if they didn't want the beach ball specials to overlap inputs with it.
