SA2 usually whiffs on the grab, opening you up for some extreme punishment, plus the damage is soo low its not worth attempting with the risk that comes with it.
This one time I saw Ryu pop a wheelie so hard, that Akuma was like; "Okay, we're good."

Dunno about the SA3 thing, but the others are true. Spot on.

Oh yeah. Stun Gun has start up invincibility, so yeah, you can use it to counter the Denjin. It's gimmicky as feck, but then again so is the Denjin.

And SA2 only whiffs if you're at about Mid-screen distance. In which case you wouldn't hit confirm it at that range anyway (unless you cancelled off of stLK) but obviously if you're close enough for it to hit, I don't see how you can call it a bad super. It's something he can Parry into, and he can also do it on wakeup if the other guy is being dumb and doing meaties while you have it loaded.

Hi Shira, just wondering if you had any tips when fighting against Ken and Akuma?

The ones I run into are newbies all the time and their randomness is kind of giving me a bit of trouble haha. I do beat most of them but it's quite a struggle at this moment in time for a newbie like myself. They tend to just jump everywhere and Tatsu hahaha

Then again I supposed I should just learn to parry those moves seen as that's all they do.

But could you maybe give me some tips for thiose matchups in general? :)

I beat a Gill online the other day (he even got a ressurrection)

Gotta Love Alex :)

It's a bit unfortunate that Louis got banned, the guy knows a lot of stuff with Alex and could of been a great help!

I know a good amount about these matchups, it's all good haha.
Lucky for you I've been running into a lot of trouble against these two characters in the last few local tournies I attended.
Anyways:
For Ken, you just have to be really on point. If he knows what he's doing he's going to keep the perfect distance to where cr.mk doesn't hit you, but will catch you if you dash so he can SA3 for free. A good Ken player that can parry really, really puts Alex in a tough spot. You have to do your best to mix things up while maintaining pressure, and that's not easy. Use the command grab and Alex's kara grab (f.hp + grab) as often as you feel you can, and don't press any unnecessary buttons. One parry could be your death, because once Ken gets a knockdown on you, it's hell for Alex.

For Akuma... well, it's really annoying but you actually need to learn how to red parry for this matchup to be any easier. Akuma's tatsu is pretty damn safe against Alex. If you can consistently red parry it then you limit his pressure by a bit which you really need. Demon flip is pretty hard to deal with for Alex, as he's big, and his anti air normals aren't that great. Your best bets against it is to dash, if you can see it coming, jump hp, or f.mp. If you can't react fast enough, just block and dash at the next opening.

Don't forget about Alex's kara grab, it's really good. Alex is all about rushdown as well as a large amount of calculated defense. Just keep playing, playing playing :D
